Aaron Taos Crushes On Friend’s Sister In “Bloom”

Aaron Taos has released his new single “Bloom”, an indie-pop bopper with just the right amount of swing and swagger. “Bloom” is a quintessential summer track with an uplifting, ‘roll the windows down’ vibe. Aaron’s hook in the chorus brings us back to those 1970s radio pop hits that defined the summer song genre. It might be a stretch but the song makes us think of what might happen if Steve Miller, The Flaming Lips, and Mac Defranco were all in the same band (as we said, it’s a stretch).

The video for “Bloom” is a fun, beautifully shot visualization of the lyric storyline in which Aaron professes his forbidden love for his friend’s sister.

About “Bloom,” Aaron Taos says:

Bloom” is a track about me having a crush on my friend’s sister. It’s got the whole forbidden fruit vibe where we both have feelings for each other but are unable to act on them given the context. The song is my confession about this underlying tension and making the case to this person that we should give in to our feelings. It’s the fantasy of letting our love blossom – a natural progression like the spring flowers in bloom.”

Is dating your friend’s sibling off limits? We are not sure what the correct answer is, but we definitely think Aaron should go for it!
