Following up on the stellar single “Running Back”, Freeman Young is back with an absolutely stunning new track – “No Nevermind”. These two singles are Freeman Young’s debut on Republic Records and offer a glimpse into a multi-instrumentalist, artist, and producer that brings together elements of alternative rock, soul, and electronic music in a very inspiring way.

Freeman Young has an incredible sense of melody that he balances with distorted textures, soaring background vocals, and tons of groove. There is no formulaic production on this and the mix is intentionally overdriven and saturated which brings a refreshing sonic palette to all of the hyper-clean mixes that are floating around.

Of the inspiration behind the song, Freeman says, 

“I’ve lost count of how many times I’d overthink the most trivial thing then beat myself up for overthinking about it. I’ve missed a million Kodak moments living in my head. 10/10 would not recommend. Get up out of your head. Get after it.”

Freeman Young is off to a great start in 2020 and we can’t wait to hear what he comes up with next.
